Winila – Bidding Site Philippines / Global Auction Site

I already made a blog entry back in April 2010 but for this post please allow me to share my personal review on their website and their bid service after few months of re-developement of their bid system, website and transfer of office in Makati.

Winila.com is an auction/bidding website. You just need to sign-up, purchase your desired number of bids and participate when item is up for bidding. Of course you will be going against other bidders.

Website and its Functionality
The website is pretty neat with clear colors that is pleasing to the eye. They fixed a lot of stuff since their re-launching last October. So far I haven’t experience slowness of the website. Bidding gets in smoothly compared to few months ago. You will be also seeing the number of bid credits use for each bidder who are participating in an auction event. With this you can do your own strategy on how you want to bid them out. There is also this winbroker system where you can assign some bid credits to that system and click start and then it will automatically bid or outbid other bidders as long as the assigned bids did not reach its maximum numbers. The last bidder who placed a bid will win when the timer expires to zero.

Purchasing bid credits became easier because they now allow bidders to purchase online through credit cards, bancnet system and Gcash. Other means include purchasing directly from their Office in Makati or making deposit to their BDO account and email them the proof of payment. They will credit your bids immediately.

What else I want to see ?

- I hope to see purchasing bid credits through Paypal.
- More instructions for purchasing through bancnet. Its seems complicated. I’ll be trying it again as my first attempt failed.
- Activate auction event in the morning because right now Winila only scheduled auction event starting in the afternoon till evening.
- Put variety of items both for Women, Men and even for kids.
- Always make sure that system runs smoothly or before putting new system it should be tested thoroughly.
- More physical outlets please

Are they Legit ?

Your next questions would be probably, Are they legit ? or you might be employed by them that’s why you are saying this. First of all I’m not in anyway connected with them. I’m just a regular bidder who love their service because I already won a lot from their bid service. Some of the best items I won thru bid were : PSP GO, PS3 160GIG, Ipod Touch 8GIG, Xbox360, Sony Cybershot Digicam, Creative Inspire speaker, Xbox Controller, Skully Headset, Wii games, Fable III for Xbox, ODM watch, perfume and other small items. Just imagine you will have the chance to get Xbox for PHP263.00 or PS3 for PHP 1,070 and so on. Other bidders also won so many prizes than mine. To tell you honestly lucky are those who joined earlier as bidding is easy. Its not too late for you.

Several days ago I blogged about Winila.com – A new Auction Site in the Philippines. I also mentioned on that post that I won several items from Bidding and still waiting for them to notify me when my items are ready to be picked up.

Come Yesterday I finally heard from them and decided to go to their office and to get my items. When I arrived there, a guy from Winila (Jeff) came and asked me for the items I’m claiming and a valid ID. Few minutes later he came back with another office mate with the items and informed me the amount I should be paying for those stuff. So there I’m just happy to inform you guys they are legit in fact those people who tried their service few months ago were really lucky as they really enjoyed spending less for an expensive items like PS3, Xbox, Laptop, Digicam, PSP and a lot more.

The 4 items I got from this auction site are Sony PSP go – 16GIG, Sony Cybershot DSC-W180 12Megapixel, Apple Ipod touch 8GIG and a Logitech speaker which was replaced with Creative Inspire T3130 due to no stocks for the Logitech.

The estimated value is PHP46,262. My expenses for the auction was PHP13,227. Lets not forget I need to add my expenses for the Bid Credit in which it has a value of P5/Bid. Let say add 3k for it. All in all I spent 16,227 and save as much as PHP 30,035. I think its a good deal besides this didn’t just happened in one day. I’ll be targeting more Items but my wish list and hopefully I can see the following on the winila site: PS3, Xbox, PSP, IPhone, Nintendo DS. I just needed those game consoles for my Game Blog Site. and use it for blog work and game reviews.

I first saw the company back in Domination 4 in SMX last April 10. Well, I didn’t really spend time checking their booth as I was there to take photos of Bands, Cosplayers, Game booths and gamers who attended the event for my gaming blog. When one of their girls approached me and explained to me how the bid site works then I just told her I’ll try the service at home and then she showed me a card with 20 bid credits printed on it. And I was convinced to get 1 card for 100 bucks.

Few days after I checked the site and I was amazed how low the ending bid for an Item. I told myself I’m going to buy more bid Credits and try the bidding on the site. My first attempt was nice but unfortunately I didn’t expected sometimes bidding would take hours. Make sure you have the energy to stay late at night.

To make the story short. I won the following from Winila
1. PSP GO (Actual Market Price Range : 10k to 14k )
My Final Bid : P5,277.50

2. Logitech R-20 2.1 Speaker System (Actual Market Price Range : 2000 to 2500 )
My Final Bid : P515.00

3. Sony Cybershot DSC-W180 (Sony Cybershot DSC-W180 : 8000 to 10000)
My Final Bid : P985.50

As you can see I saved few thousands from the three items above. Let say I still need to add the amount I spent for the Bid Credits. Add 2k for the bid credit expenses. I still saved a lot like 55% to 60% from the Market Price. One more thing it just so happen that there are a lot of bidders for the PSP Go thats why the price went up to 5.2k. But if you check the Sony Cybershot which I won for only 985.50.

I know your next question would be… are they for real ? lets just put it this way I’m still waiting for their notification as when I can pick up my items. I know their office, I was able to call them, I was able to deposit to their BDO account. Their support responses to my email. So far all are good. As soon as I get these items I’ll do an update post on this site.

By the way Id like to point you the an old post in which I got a NINTENDO Wii for the TAWAD NA service from Paysetter International and Globe. I got my prize after a month I think.
