It’s Fathers day today. Earlier I already greeted my dad and my brother. In returned they greeted me also hehee. Sorry I cannot greet everyone earlier so this blog might do the job. To the dads out there, rich, poor, jobless, employed, perfect dad, not soo cool dad, as long as we are trying to be the best dad to our children Happy Fathers day!!!

Whew! After more than a month of waiting for my Nintendo Wii which I officially won through SMS bidding last April 30, 2008 I finally got a call yesterday informing me that it’s ready for pickup. Of course since I’ve been waiting for this, on the same day I traveled to ortigas with my kumpare to actually get the item.

When I was at the Paysetter International office, this girl assisted me and asks me to fill up few details of myself for verification. I showed her my Identification ID and paid her P7.60. Yes, that’s the amount I paid for a brand new Nintendo Wii US edition. The last time I know Wii US cost 16k to 18k php while Wii Japan cost P12-P14K.

Next stop was Greenhills. Since we wanted to make sure that the Wii was modified we let it checked to a technician. Fortunately, it was already modified which we were able to save P2, 300(standard fee for modifying a Wii). While we were at Greenhills, of course we bought some Wii CDs.

This is really great since it was my first to have an expensive gaming Console like this and I got it at a very cheap price.

I was surfing for iPhone earlier over at google search and here’s what a got. A news that Globe Telecom and other operator giants from other countries signed deal with Apple. I got these news from yugatech blog and grabeh’s blog.

It started with a curiosity. The next thing I knew I won a Nintendo Wii. I think Nintendo price would be around 12k – 14k. I’m not really into this kind of game, you know the bidding thing but when Globe made a mass broadcast few months ago for the TAWAD NA service from Paysetter International I gave it a try. I just bid several lowest numbers and the next thing I got a system sms reply informing me that my bid was not unique. A simple rule should be remembered was inorder for you to be declared as the winner for that day you should have picked the lowest unique number before 12Midnight. During my first few attempt I can say it’s a waste of effort because all numbers I texted were not unique. More or less I spent like 15 pesos. After that I somehow forgot the service.

Came April 30, 2008 a sms notification got into my phone inbox. The item for the day was a Nintendo Wii. There I got tempted to burn few pesos. While I’m on my way to my Internet Shop I texted few numbers and I somehow got 4 unique bids. I thought that was it but later in the afternoon 3 of my unique bid got outbid. So, I told myself if by 6pm my remaining unique bid is still there I’m going to bid all numbers going down till the smallest bid which is P1.00 just to make sure. Now there you go I just got it. Someone who also bid might just missed bidding the unique bid I got or maybe this item might just be for me or for my kids. I already talked with the company who is handling the service today and they got my details. Right now I’m just waiting for them to inform me the date when to pick the prize as of today the prize is still not there at their office.
