Last Monday the Refrigarator for the Internet Cafe was delivered. This is my attempt to be different from the other nearby Internet cafes and at the same time making easier for customers incase they need to have a break from their internet activities. The shop is selling different C2 flavors and other chichirias. So far its selling nicely and at this time my wife is buying more supplies.

hi!, i read from sacha chua’s blog before on a great idea for a netcafe… actually adding some round tables where students can do their groupworks … or something to that effect, I don’t remember…not sure if she meant to drop in a lan cable also so that anybody with a laptop can hold business meetings, complete with coffee maker and fax machine… hehehe

what aircon did you get for your shop? I was actually a mechanical engineer in a past life before leaving it all for IT… if you give me your floor area I can tell you what aircon you should be using…

hi hop.. according to the owner the floor area is 50 square meters. I hope that is what you want to know. I got a carrier 4 toner aircon Split type. Based on my computation this aircon cost P20 an hour. Ang laki ng compressor kasi. I’m Planning to get a window type soon.

Based on my computation, you’ll need at least 2.5 hp aircon for that floor area. On the assumption that it’s ceiling doesn’t exceed 9ft.
4 ton should require about 4 hp based on industry practice.
I’d recommend a window type too, maybe 2. then based on the number of customers you have/time of day, you can turn on both or leave one off to scrimp on electricity.
oops.. Don’t go for those mga refurbished, kase the newer the model the more energy efficient it is.
Isa pang pahabol… 20% of most heat load sa aircon is solar… so if you can add tint or cover up your windows para di ma pasukan ng sunlight, makakatipid ka rin don.
