My two kids are in elementary level and they just finished their final exam this morning. With that I declare that Summer vacation starts today. What does this mean to them well, I’d like to try a different approach this time. I want them to really enjoy their summer vacation. I won’t ask them to go to bed by 7:30pm and get up by 5:30am. I’ll let them play more hours on the Nintendo Wii and on the computer. I’ll play DOTA with them when they want to. I let them request and will agree for a swimming marathon as long as within the budget for the month. I’ll give way to them if they want to watch Mr. Bean, Tom & Jerry, Bakugan, Justice League, Power Ranger, naruto shippudden and other anime series. I’ll allow them to play longer in the Neighborhood with their friends. I’ll allow them to play with all of their toys even some of it were already kept in a box. The most hardest part of all I’ll sacrifice my sex life this summer by allowing my 8 year old son to sleep in the master’s bedroom whenever he wants to. You see I’m preventing my him to sleep with us for sometime now because I need quality time with my wife. My 6 year old daughter sleep within the same bed with us but she’s not easily disturbed…you know heheehe.
My two kids just had their Educational Tour last Thursday. The school have this tour every year and for the last 3 years only my wife accompanied the kids. This time I’ve decided to join them and it was fun.
The tour destinations were Quezon City Memorial Circle, National Library, Manila Ocean Park and lastly Star City. I enjoyed every second of it. Maybe its just a different experience. You see most of us parents are always busy attending to our jobs, meetings, and other obligations but we should make sure we are putting balance to the other side of our obligations which are family and time spent with them. I just believe I made a right choice of giving up my career four years ago and went to become self employed. If not, I may not be able to attend to event like this for my kids sake.
It was my first to visit Quezon City Memorial Circle. I did have some shots on some of the memorabilia of President Manuel Quezon. Second stop was the National Library. I think this was the second time I stepped on this place. The last two destinations which was the fun part were Manila Ocean Park and StarCity. It was really fun, I had a great time with the family and the classmates of my son. Yeah, I got some fun conversation with these kids aged 7-9 years old. The experienced was just wonderful.
